How to setup a Free HotSpot
BlueDot Wifi provides our HotSpot Management Suite for managing both Paid and Free HotSpots.
Features and Services Available for Free HotSpot Operators:
- Limit the amount of time your customers can stay connected. This will help prevent a customer from 'parking' at your location and using the network for an unlimited amount of time for free.
- Automatically disable your HotSpot at a certain time of the day (i.e. 5PM or whenever you close) so users don't try to hang around the outside of your business after you close and still use the network.
- Brand your HotSpot to your business by naming it after your business and uploading your logo for display on the login pages. For example: "Mel's Coffee - Free Wifi"
- The same great monitoring and reporting features available with our Paid HotSpots.
- Control the bandwidth your customers are able to use.

We provide several options for Free HotSpots, based on how many users you expect to have on your HotSpot in a month. Our service options for Free HotSpot Operators are:

We also provide a 'Splash Page Only' option if you wish to allow your users to connect to the Internet without any type of authentication or pre-printed tickets. You can still provide branding and control of bandwidth, etc... with this type of HotSpot. The monthly fee for a 'Splash Page Only' HotSpot is $4.95/month.
Requirements to Setup a Free HotSpot:
- High-Speed/Broadband Internet access at the location where you will have the HotSpot. We recommend DSL or Cable, but Satellite and others should work fine too.
- Payment in advance for the service plan you would like to use. We'll invoice you for any 'overage users' on the following month's bill.
